We are seeking a Regional Business Development Manager to join our Systems Sub Business Unit (SBU) and become part of the core team driving growth of one of the key growth units in DuPont Nutrition & Health. The successful candidate will have a solid technical background combined with strong business acumen ensuring thorough understanding of how key market trends and customer needs translate into food ingredient concepts with solid value propositions. The ability to drive the agenda of the Systems SBU in DuPont Nutrition & Health and work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders is a must.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new business opportunities to accelerate growth and secure a strong pipeline (medium & long-term) by:
    • Identify and translate needs in core segments into new competitive value propositions, concepts and ingredient building blocks to guide R&D and Application development efforts
    • Drive diversification of the Systems SBU through mapping, understanding and translation of needs in non-core segments into strong business opportunities
    • Work with the Global Business Development Manager to drive cross regional fertilization of local concepts and solutions between regions and across applications
    • Translating the global strategy into regional strategic initiatives and actions
  • Be Commercial Lead for Systems on longer-term R&D projects
  • Drive competitive insights including partnering, licensing and M&A opportunities from competitive analysis, mappings and observations to drive growth and support the global competitive intelligence
  • Support development and periodic reviews of the Systems strategy

Job Qualifications

  • Engineering, technical or science degree combined with a degree in business management
  • Solid technical understanding combined with strong business acumen & strategic mindset
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within business development, consulting, innovation, marketing or product management
  • Experience in food & beverage and/or health & nutrition space a nice-to-have
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills
  • Personal attributes:

    • Willingness to learn from others and open to new ideas
    • Curious, solution oriented, high energy individual who is comfortable with uncertainty and passionate about the food industry
