This role is critical in bridging the gap between IT and manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of MES solutions within the production environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities System Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and implement MES solutions to meet the specific needs of the manufacturing process. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure that the system supports production goals. Integration: Ensure seamless integration of MES with other enterprise systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Control Systems, LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems), and other manufacturing and quality systems. Technical Support: Provide ongoing second level technical support and troubleshooting for MES applications. Resolve any issues related to system performance, data integrity, and user access. Process Optimization: Analyze production data and workflows to identify areas for improvement and simplification. Implement changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput in the manufacturing process. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of MES configurations, changes, and procedures. Ensure that all documentation is up to date and accessible to relevant stakeholders. Training: Develop and deliver training programs for end-users to ensure effective utilization of the MES system. This includes creating training materials and conducting hands-on sessions. Compliance: Ensure that MES solutions comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Participate in audits and implement corrective actions as necessary. Education & Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience in MES implementation and support within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MES software such as TrakSYS, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of database management, SQL, and programming languages such ASP, Python, .Net or Java. DevOps, QA Testing, version and deployment practices Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and train end-users. High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability of MES solutions. Experience managing MES projects from concept to completion, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Preferred: Certification in MES software or related technologies. Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
